"We are not human beings on a spiritual journey; we are spiritual beings on a human journey."

Spiritual Enrichment

As Your Life Coach...
Encourage You to Connect With Your Higher-Self!

What is Spirituality?

Spirituality is not a religion.  In essence,
spirituality is simply living with the intention to realize God (as you understand God to be) in every circumstance of your being – even thoughts, emotions, words, actions, relations, aspirations – the totality of your life.  It is an awareness that we are more than our body and mind.

In psychological terms, spirituality is discovering within yourself the ultimate source of meaning and happiness, which is LOVE.

In sociological terms, spirituality is to give selfless service to others.

In ecological terms, spirituality is showing respect for all the kingdoms in the community of life - mineral, vegetable, animals, human, spirit.

In cosmological terms, spirituality is being at one with the universe.

In theological terms, spirituality is seeing God (as you understand God to be) in all things, all events and all circumstances indwelling as infinite light and unconditional love.

"But we are born to be abundantly supplied with every good thing, to have fun in living, to consciously unite with the Divine Power that is around us and within us, and to grow and expand forever."   - Ernest Holmes

SpiritualityThe lotus flower, a powerful spiritual symbol, begins its life as a small flower in the dark, muddy depths of a pond.  The lotus flower struggles in its growth as it emerges from the murky water and blooms into a magnificent flower where it lives the rest of its life in the fresh air and sunlight.

As we begin our journey of awakening to the spiritual reality of life, the impurities of our thinking gradually begins to fade, and much like the lotus flower, we break through the muck and darkness in our life as we rise to a higher state of consciousness.   It’s not easy at first, but the closer we get to enlightenment, the more peaceful we become.  As we continue to expand in our awareness, our thoughts, feelings, deeds, environment, relationships, and well-being will transform into a state of purpose, prosperity and bliss.

Like the lotus flower, nobody can push us or get us through the darkness and sludge.  But the closer we get to the surface, the more strength we gain as we soar in the right direction.  The journey is our own responsibility.  Our surroundings (and people) can either encourage us or obstruct our progress.  If you feel you need support and inspiration as you begin your journey of awakening, I invite you to connect with me in spiritual enrichment classes and/or one-on-one spiritual counseling.

When we practice listening within our own being, we are listening to our own wisdom, our own guidance, what many  call the "still small voice" that speaks, giving us direction.

*  Becoming more conscious, alert, aware and compassionate

By living in spiritual consciousness, we realize and experience the truth that there is no separation from the Divine. Wholeness is the truth of our being.  Serenity, love, bliss, and harmony are within us, and there is no circumstance or person that can take this away.  There is nothing to be 'fixed', we are perfect spiritual beings.  We have been given the magnificent gift of free will, which means we have the power of choice, and can transform our lives on a dime.  Many people are living, but they are not fully alive.  They are simply existing.  How do you perceive your life and the world around you?

What lies behind us and what lies before us
are small matters to what lies within us.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Meditation
What is Meditation?
A transforming of the mind to develop focus, clarity, emotional positivity, and a peaceful realization of the true nature of things. By practicing meditation you will discover the habits and patterns of your mind, and learn to nurture more positive ways of thinking and being. With regular practice and patience, focused states of mind can deepen into deeply tranquil and energized states of mind. The experience of meditation can bring profound transformation into your life.

Prayer
What is Affirmative Prayer?

A form of prayer or a metaphysical technique that is focused on a positive outcome rather than a negative situation. For example, a person who is experiencing some form of illness would focus the prayer on the desired state of perfect health and affirm this desired intention "as if already happened" rather than identifying the illness and then asking God for help to eliminate it.

Jesus, our greatest teacher, guided us in the use of affirmative prayer when he said, "So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mark 11:24). While situations may not always work out the way we would like, we can know with assurance that God's will is actively at work in our lives.

To affirm is to state positively; to pray is to speak to God (as you understand God to be). When we use affirmative prayer, we are using positive statements of Truth and Thanksgiving to speak to God.

I created the 'affirmative prayer' video below for you to begin your day with, if you wish, to affirm your good health.   Click to play in full-screen mode for your greatest enjoyment.
